When a physician makes a referral to the Prolastin Direct℠ program, a trained reimbursement counselor will conduct an extensive investigation of all public and private reimbursement options available on behalf of each patient. Once the investigation is complete the patient and the referring physician will be provided with a full report on options available for drug cost reimbursement.
If a decision is made to begin augmentation therapy Prolastin Direct℠ can also work with the patient, the physician, the pharmacy and the local hospital or clinic to get started. Prolastin Direct℠ staff can help coordinate schedules and other arrangements with all parties so the patient can receive his or her first treatment.
